Moving On The Mantle is a touch screen interactive that was developed for the new Land Gallery at Auckland Museum. This was an exciting project to work on due to the wide variety of media that was used. The interactive starts with a claymation sequence that shows the earth being built by hand, layer by layer. This then transitions into showing the earth with no ocean, so that the tectonic plates are visible. A further transition shows an animated cross-section of the earth where the user can touch the screen to find out information about the action beneath the crust. From here, the touch of a button takes the user through a short presentation on why we know the earth's crust moves.

I was responsible for designing a generic template that could be used across 6 interactives within the Museum's Land and Oceans Galleries, designing, and art directing Moving on the Mantle.
